1. Who we are
AlphaDog (“AlphaDog,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered stock due-diligence product for US equities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use getalphadog.com and related apps or APIs, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers free trial use, monthly subscriptions, and one-time credit packs (Starter, Researcher, Investor, and Pro). It is not legal advice and does not create an attorney–client relationship.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: you provide it, we generate it when you use the product, and we receive limited data from service providers.
- Account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google. If you create an email/password account, we store your email and a hashed password (we never store plaintext passwords).
- Research activity — Tickers and themes you search, Discover queries, analysis runs and their status, report content stored in your account, chat messages on a report, watchlists and alert preferences, and optional custom analysis instructions you save in Settings.
- System free public reports — AlphaDog may generate curated free due-diligence reports without a visitor account. Those reports are AlphaDog research artifacts for marketing and community education, not a visitor’s personal research history. Opening them may still produce normal technical or usage events.
- Credits and purchases — Your credit balance, credit ledger entries, subscription status when applicable, and (when you buy) Stripe customer, checkout, and invoice references needed to fulfill purchases. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers; Stripe processes card data.
- Feedback — If you submit in-app feedback and choose to be contacted, we store the message plus any name, email, or phone you provide.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, and product events (for example starting an analysis or completing checkout). When Google Analytics 4 is enabled, we may associate hits with your internal user id — not your email — so we can understand signed-in usage.
- Cookies and similar storage — Session cookies for authentication, a model-preference cookie for analysis depth, and a theme preference (cookie and/or local storage) so the UI stays consistent across visits.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the Service — authenticate you, run the multi-agent research pipeline, stream progress, store and display reports, power chat, watchlists, alerts, and Discover.
- Curate free public reports — query free earnings-calendar APIs (for example Finnhub, and optionally Financial Modeling Prep) with date ranges needed to choose tickers, then publish a limited set of reports for marketing and community education and list recent ones on the landing page (about 10 for guests and about 25 for signed-in users).
- Bill and fulfill credits — reserve and deduct credits for fresh analyses, community report access, and Discover queries; fulfill Stripe Checkout for monthly subscriptions and one-time packs; issue refunds to your wallet when a run fails, is cancelled, or cannot be started.
- Operate and secure the product — prevent abuse, debug failures, monitor reliability, and keep audit trails of agent runs for support and quality.
- Communicate with you — send transactional email such as welcome or account-related messages, and respond when you ask for support or leave feedback.
- Improve the product — aggregate usage and quality metrics (including GA4 and internal analytics) to fix bugs and improve report quality. We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI processing and market data
To generate a report, we send relevant inputs (ticker, financial and market context, filings excerpts, news, and related prompts) to our AI providers — primarily Google’s Gemini models via our analysis engine. Outputs (narrative, debate, critic checks, chat replies) are stored with your analysis so you can reopen them later.
Market and company data is fetched from third-party sources such as Massive, Yahoo Finance, SEC EDGAR, Tavily, and Finnhub. For curated free public reports we may also call free earnings-calendar endpoints (Finnhub and optionally Financial Modeling Prep) using date-range queries to select tickers. Those providers receive the queries needed to retrieve public-market information. We do not display raw vendor earnings calendars to end users. Their own privacy terms apply to data they hold independently.
AlphaDog is a research tool only. Reports are not investment advice. Using the Service does not mean we are your broker, adviser, or fiduciary.
5. When we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run the product, comply with law, or with your direction:
- Service providers — Hosting and databases on Google Cloud, authentication (Google OAuth / our auth stack), AI inference (Google), payments (Stripe), email delivery, analytics (Google Analytics 4 when configured), and market-data vendors listed above. They process data under contracts or terms that limit use to providing their service.
- Public share links — If you (or we, for a curated sample) publish a report with a public slug, anyone with the link can view that report’s content. Do not share a link you want to keep private.
- Curated free public reports — AlphaDog may publish system-generated free reports at stable URLs such as /analysis/{TICKER} and list recent ones on the marketing site. Anyone with the URL can read that report. These reports are not private to a user account.
- Community reports — Within the product, another user’s paid “community” access may copy a recent completed report for the same ticker. That flow charges credits and does not expose your account email to the other user.
- Legal and safety — We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of AlphaDog, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor notice.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined under US state privacy laws.
6. Subscriptions, credit packs, and payments
Paid access is sold primarily as monthly subscriptions (Starter, Researcher, Investor, and Pro) that grant wallet credits each billing cycle. One-time packs with the same plan names remain available. Credits are a product wallet for running analyses and Discover — not a bank balance, stored-value instrument, or cryptocurrency. Credits do not expire under our current pricing and stack across renewals; we may change pricing or credit costs prospectively with notice in the product or on the pricing page.
Checkout and subscription management are handled by Stripe (Checkout and Customer Portal). Depending on configuration, we may store a Stripe customer id and subscription id on your account. Payment card details are entered on Stripe’s pages; AlphaDog’s systems are not designed to store full card numbers or CVCs.
Purchase and invoice records (plan id, amount, Stripe session/invoice references, credit grants) are kept so we can fulfill orders, handle disputes, and meet accounting and tax obligations.
7. Retention
We keep account and research data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Analysis reports, agent-run metadata, credit transactions, and related logs are retained so you can reopen work and so we can support billing, abuse prevention, and product quality.
System-generated free public reports may be retained while they remain useful for the free corpus, share links, or SEO, independent of any single end-user account deletion — they are not treated as a private report belonging to your account.
If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal data we control, except where we must retain records (for example payment and credit ledgers needed for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution). Backups may take a reasonable period to roll forward.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@getalphadog.com. We may need to verify your request.
You can update some preferences in Settings (for example theme and analysis depth). You can sign out to end a session. You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies; note that authentication and core product features may not work without necessary cookies.
If you signed in with Google, you can also review or revoke AlphaDog’s access in your Google account settings. That does not automatically delete data already stored in AlphaDog — contact us for account deletion.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a cloud SaaS product: encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls on production systems, hashed passwords for email accounts, and secrets managed outside application code. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by applicable law.
10. Children
AlphaDog is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International users
We operate the Service from the United States. If you access AlphaDog from another country, you understand that your information may be processed in the US and other locations where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection rules than your home country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be called out in the product or by email when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
